Hi,
After a long time of works, i am now a little free to do some tutorials, i will start some pixel art tutorials,
So, the first one is, making a sword in a 32*32 pixels.
Watching a whole sword come together in a 32 by 32 grid is a great reminder of how much readable shape you can get from very few pixels. The speed format works well here because you can see the blade, guard, and pommel take form without getting bogged down in every single brush stroke. I also like that this opens a series rather than being a one-off, since a small asset like this is exactly what a first GameMaker project needs. I found this while looking for a break between sessions, and this Kick the Buddy APK download guide was open in another tab, which made me think about how even casual games lean on clean little sprites like this one.
