- Open a new image with 64*64 pixels.
- Create a new Layer :
- Make sure it's transparent :
- Take a shaded red color :
- Select the brush tool, and the Fuzzy Circle :
- Put some points :
- Now, go to Filters > Blur > Motion Blur :
- A new window should be opened :
- Select the linear blur type and add some length :
- Then here is your blood effect :
- If you want to save it with a transparent background, in the Layers window make sure to remove the eye near the white background :
