GIMP : Make a realistic blood effect


Welcome to this new tutorials, this time we will make a realistic blood effect with GIMP, easily and quickly.
So, let's get started.



  • Open a new image with 64*64 pixels.

  •  Create a new Layer :



  • Make sure it's transparent :



  • Take a shaded red color :


  • Select the brush tool, and the Fuzzy Circle :



  • Put some points :



  • Now, go to Filters > Blur > Motion Blur :



  • A new window should be opened :



  • Select the linear blur type and add some length :


  • Then here is your blood effect :



  • If you want to save it with a transparent background, in the Layers window make sure to remove the eye near the white background :
