Let's make an icon with Incskape

Hi, and welcome, in this tutorial you will learn how to make an icon or logo with the Incskape Software you it's a free software you can download it Here .

So let's start our tutorial :

• First, open Inkscape, it will automatically open a new image.
• Now select the rectangle tool :

• Draw the rectangle :

• Make it rounded :

• Select a color :

• Right click on the Border color and delete it :

•  Now Click on the Add text tool :

• Write your text :

• Choose the font you want and the size :

• Now, right click on the white color and select Define it to border :

• Right click on the border color and choose : Edit the border :

• A window should be opened like that :

• Make the thickness with 4 pixel or choose what it looks good for you :

• Now duplicate the text Copy and Past :

• Right click on our new text's border and delete it :

• Drag it to the center of the other text :

• Got to Path > Contract or click "Ctrl+(" do it 2 times :

• Now select another color  :

• Duplicate it again :

• Choose the black color :

• Drag it to look's like that :

• Select the rectangle :

• And choose the Gradient fill tool from the tools :

• Click and drag :

• Now put a new rectangle :

• Do the gradient it :

• For the top select the white color, and the bottom select no color :

• And here is our icon or logo look's good :
