GIMP : Create a gradient button

In this tutorial i will show you how to create a cool looking gradient button sprite with GIMP.

• First create a new image with 128*32 pixels.
• Then select the selection tool :

•  Select the rounded corners :

•  Fill the selection with our new image.
• Right click and go to selection then select Border :

•  Now fill the border with the with the Filling Tool :

•  Go to Gradients onglet :

•  Create a new gradient :

• Right click and select the : Cut the segments in the middle :

• Right click again and select : Color of end of left :

•  Select your color :

•  Click here :

• Then, right click again and select the left color :

• Click again here :

• Right click and  select : Return Segment :

•  Right click and change the right color :

•  Change the color of the other side also :

• Now select the auto select tool :

• And click in the middle of our button :

•  Go now and select Gradient Fill tool with our new gradient :

•  Click and drag :

• Then, here is your button is ready :
